Two Palm Beach County District-operated schools have been recognized by the users of Niche as top schools in the state of Florida.

Suncoast Community High School has been named the Best Magnet High School in the state, and Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts has been named the #2 Best Magnet High School. The School District uses the term “Choice” in place of “Magnet” school.

According to their website, “Niche has over 750,000 school reviews from real students, parents, and teachers — more school reviews than any other place on the internet. This gives an unparalleled, honest view into what people really think about a school. We get deep too, asking questions about everything from college prep to cafeteria food.”

Dreyfoos received an A+ rating for academics, college prep and administration, and A’s for teachers, diversity, health and safety. Additionally, the school ranked #3 Best High School for Arts in Florida, and #4 Best Public High School in Florida. It also ranked well among high schools in the nation.

Suncoast received A+ ratings in academics, diversity, and college prep, and an A- for teachers, clubs and activities, health and safety, and sports. It was also ranked the #2 school for diversity in the state and the #3 Best High Schools in the state, as well as ranking well nationally.

“It is such an honor to be recognized by Niche as the #1 Magnet High School in the state of Florida,” said Kathryn Koerner, the principal at Suncoast High. “This incredible recognition is a direct reflection of our deliberate focus on curriculum acceleration, student achievement, and academic excellence. No doubt, the outstanding work of our Charger students and staff is affirmed in this notable distinction.”
